Losing a Loved One
It’s really difficult to lose anyone that you are close to, be it a relative, a partner, a friend or a pet. People can sympathise, but no one can really understand what it means for you. The loss can feel unbearable and can affect your mental, emotional and physical well-being.
When you lose an animal companion you might have other emotions. There might be feelings of guilt. Did you make the right decisions? Was your pet happy? There might be people around you who just don’t get it, who will say ‘it was only a dog….or a cat, a horse or a guinea pig…’. You may feel ashamed that you are finding it so tough. You might feel angry.
Whatever the difficulties you are experiencing, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you don’t have to do it alone.
